Halloween Paper Decor and More from Etsy
Because now is the perfect time to get ready for Halloween, I rounded up ideas for decorating both your home and person. I'd noticed back in August that a huge costume store had made its annual temporary move into an empty storefront near my house, so it could be said we're actually running a bit behind schedule! Luckily, Etsy shops are at the ready to help with your holiday needs.
This handmade, hand painted barn owl mask from Crooked Crow Masks is a work of art. Made of paper mache, it's lined with soft eco-felt. (Bonus, it ships for free from Alaska.) Reviewers rave about how comfortable it is to wear. Do yourself a favor and take a spin through the shop where you'll find additional choices.
So many clever details are included in this printable Haunted House Countdown Calendar from Calderwood Creations. Who wouldn't enjoy opening a little door each day to extract a treat in the lead up to the big day?
You'll need a printer, ink, paper - matte photo paper is recommended - scissors, glue, and patience. There is also a Monster Mash Dracula's Castle Countdown Calendar in the shop that looks equally intriguing.
Longtime readers will know what a fan I am of paper earrings made by Natalie Monday of Etsy shop Monday Morning Press. They're perfect for bringing a bit of pizzazz to a neutral outfit. You'll find ghosts and pumpkins along with these spooky bat earrings. Ooh and don't miss the glittery skulls with gemstone eyes.
Any pair would be ideal to wear to a Halloween party, and of course they're fun for elementary school teachers too. U.S. shipping is just $2 or free with a $35 purchase.
Perhaps you're hosting a party for little ones, but don't want to scare them. These printable ghost streamers from Kudzu Monster are pretty non-threatening and so easy to make. Just print, cut, and assemble. I also love this Halloween spin game that would be a blast for school age kids on up.
You could also make some non-threatening monster puppets from Printables Fairy. The shop is loaded with lots of Halloween printable designs that will go a long way in making your party a success. Just a few examples... monster game, treat boxes, and a tp roll craft.
These cute low poly ghosts from Paper Craft NEO don't even require a cutting machine. Standing about 10 inches tall, they can be cut, folded, and glued by older kids or adults at your party, or make them ahead of time as decorations that will appeal to little ones. Another less than scary decoration is the low poly flying ghost that's adorable and the witch hat and legs paper craft is priceless!
If you'll be sending little ghosts and goblins home with a treat bag, this mummy tag from The Digital Peach adds a great touch. The shop has an array of printable Halloween designs and also a section of fall decor printables that are serenely beautiful.
Low poly masks are always popular. You could become a red devil to answer the door when older trick or treaters come calling. Color and decorate however you like. Check out the Wintercroft shop where there is a vast and spooky selection of Halloween masks.
This skeleton print from KIKI AND NIM made me laugh out loud when I first spotted it, so of course that made it worthy of being shared. With more than 350(!) Halloween printables in the shop, I don't doubt for a second that you'll find more than one that will be winners on your walls.
Lastly, this pair of hand holding ghosts printable from Cosmia Designs is quite endearing. The eerie background just might make you feel for them rather than be scared of them. The shop offers a printed and shipped version if you'd rather not fool with printing, along with quite a few more printable choices.
Not into Halloween? Here's a pretty round up of fall-themed items that are currently available in Etsy shops... ideal for autumn entertaining.
