Elegant Paper Mache Objects by Ebru Baç of Just Paper
Transforming paper that would otherwise be discarded into useful and even beautiful home, office, and boutique decor is a special talent that Ebru continues to develop. The application of metallic paint and a fine eye for color and shape results in surprisingly rich pieces.
"When we recycle 1 ton of paper, we save the lives of 17 trees." She says this knowledge is a source of inspiration and joy while designing paper mache products.
After graduating from Istanbul University and prior to launching Just Paper in 2016, Ebru worked as a Corporate Communications Manager for twenty years. Surprisingly, paper mache is her first creative pursuit. She told me that her close friend, jewelry artist Burcu Sülek, introduced her to paper mache. Ebru fell in love with the medium and has been working with passion for the last eight years.
In addition to creating stylish lighting and decorative objects, Ebru frequently hosts popular mache workshops for adults and children in a number of Turkish provinces.

After learning about the sustainable aspect of paper mache and the process of making and shaping paper pulp into functional objects, participants allow their creativity to flourish while painting paper mache bowls to take home.
You can watch a few moments of Ebru leading a workshop on Instagram.
She designed a paper mache divider and purchasing unit for the Maison 7 store in Dubai as a luxurious touch to complement the shop's couture fashions.
Ebru often creates custom designs for special events, as well as decorations for celebrations in various themes. "Let your event leave a mark with its sustainable dimension."
