Quilled Valentine Card Ideas
I relied on my printer for the sentiments and used inexpensive jump rings and a pair of jewelry pliers to make little chains that dangle... creating movement on a card is always a win.
Note that the set of jump rings comes with a finger tool to open and close them so you should be able to do without pliers. Already have jump rings on hand? The finger tool can be purchased separately.)
My tutorial for quilling this heart necklace shows how to shape the heart. Once it is made, fill in the interior with quilled scrolls.
Here are several more quilled Valentine designs that you're welcome to use for your personal use in addition to the ones above.
If you're learning to quill and need ideas, or if you already know how to quill, but find it difficult to think up original designs, you're more than welcome to reproduce mine. The only caveat is that you may not sell what you make and I would appreciate being credited by name with a link back to this site if you post a photo online.
If you teach quilling, you may use my designs in class too. Again, please credit me and give this website address, as well as alert students to the fact that the designs are for their personal use only.
Looking for even more quilled Valentines? I've made quite a few over the years! Many are posted on this Paper Craft DIYs page and you'll find three heart-shaped jewelry pieces on the Paper Jewelry DIYs page.

Here's another idea for a special Valentine surprise...
Holiday Spirits Decor has been one of my favorite Etsy shops for a long time. Having ordered from the shop in the past, I can assure you that these putz house paperboard kits are fantastic. Here's owner/designer Carol's description:
My Valentine Putz House DIY Kits are the perfect antidote for the "Christmas decorations are put away winter blues"! These little paper houses are a fun & easy project --perfect for chilly winter nights! Add a few bottle brush trees to create a little winter scene on your bookshelf or mantel! Make one for your special Valentine! They also make very cute 1st Anniversary gifts + Housewarming presents!!
The kits are a holiday treasure that can be decorated (or not), but surely displayed on a mantel or table year after year. They arrive beautifully packaged too.
love your Heart cards Ann, each made with style and much detail.
