Spooky Halloween Paper Art Decor from Moth & Myth

Look away if you must, but because it's Halloween I can't help but show you these realistic and very cool specimens that I came across at Moth & Myth, a wildly popular laser cut paper shop.

It was just a few days ago that I was first introduced to artists Redd Walitzki and Kari-Lise Alexander, the team behind Moth & Myth, while reading about IMAGINARI, an immersive exhibition in which their work is featured. It begins a year-long run in November at 480 Broadway in Soho, New York City and highlights the fascinating world of insects.

If only I'd come across their small business sooner, you would have had a chance to order Halloween decorations, but just think, you could be ahead of the game for next October. They offer many colorful, double-sided butterflies and moths to zhush up your decor all year long.

Redd and Kari-Lise have worked together since 2018 and describe the art on their website:

"All of our paper products are created in-house in our Seattle studio, utilizing state of the art laser-cutting and printing technologies. Moth & Myth paper specimens are both beautiful displayed on their own, or as a wonderful resource empowering artists, crafters and educators."

"In our creations and brand philosophy, we are eco-aware and sustainability focused, continually finding ways to make our products part of the lower impact movement. We also regularly donate profits to various environmental organizations, including the Pollinator Partnership and the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation."
