As I paged through an advance copy courtesy of GMC Publications, I was delighted to see so many beautiful spring flowers since they're in bloom here in Delaware at the moment - daffodils, tulips, pansies, and magnolias. You'll also find lots of summer favorites like sunflowers, hibiscus, and water lilies. Of course autumn and winter are represented too.

Sena created a template for each of the twenty projects and included the necessary strip colors, lengths and tools, many step-by-step photos along with written instructions, as well as introductory quilling information and how to create specialty shapes like waves and zigzags. Info about tools and materials is covered too.

I love the way Sena used the zigzag folding technique to represent the jagged edges of a carnation.

If Sena's name is new to you, enjoy this 2015 blog post in which I interviewed her. She had only been quilling about two plus years at that point, but already it was abundantly clear that she is a natural at designing. The modern, on-edge wall art she was creating even then for her Etsy shop was wow-worthy. By the way, if you are on Instagram, follow along with Sena as her feed is a joy to see.
