Stylishly Modern Paper Jewelry - Monday Morning Press

Spring is here and if you're like me, you enjoy bringing out your warm weather clothes and thinking about how to accessorize each outfit to give it a fresh look. Natalie Monday of Monday Morning Press designs paper earrings and necklaces in so many attention-grabbing styles, colors, and patterns, I'm always spotting something in the shop that will bring an updated vibe to my wardrobe. 

 

  

 

Her handmade jewelry is incredibly unique... original, vibrant, and made to last. Not only are the earrings and pendants surprisingly lightweight, but the findings Natalie chooses are nickel free. 

 

There's no need to worry about being caught in April showers because the paper - actually it's sturdy card and sometimes chipboard - is protected with a matte fixative. 

 

 

Some styles include textured patterns she designs and then presses on an antique letterpress. Others feature printed segments of her father's paintings (example below). He's Kevin Deck on Instagram. By the way, the earring backs are always finished in a coordinating pattern in case you're out on a windy day.

 

 

I love the way Natalie frequently releases new collections with so many options. If one month's color palette isn't quite right for you, just wait a few weeks to see what the next one will bring. There's a range of component sizes and shapes, from tiny circular studs to big, bold chandelier earrings. Necklace pendants are offered in varied sizes too; many are finished with a tassel.
