Terrific Custom Paper Art, Kits, and Banners from Yeiou
It isn't unusual to read about website designers who long to look away from their computer screens and focus on the handmade instead. Abigail McMurray in Arlington, Massachusetts is one such artist who made that happen five years ago when she turned her attention to creating the appealing paper goods that stock her Etsy shop, Yeiou. Abigail calls what she has accomplished as returning to the real
world... a world in which she marvels at the endless ways a sheet
of paper can be turned into a dimensional object.
While she relishes a hands-on approach to paper crafting and shares her passion for paper via project-based workshops, Abigail's graphic design skills and a cutting machine are invaluable in her work. She uses the latter to produce cute gift box pumpkins for you to assemble, movable greeting cards, and a celebratory Yay banner that comes in a wide choice of colors. There's also a festive Happy Birthday option.
A current Etsy Design Awards finalist for her hand cut architectural framed art, Abigail specializes in creating paper sculpture keepsakes for clients to commemorate new homes, landmarks, and life milestones.
I'm a longtime fan of paper craft kits and am sure Abigail's rainbow house garland would be a fun one to put together and display as housewarming party decor or in a child's room. Each little house can be opened to hold a treat or LED light.
Her newest work is framed cut-paper maps that stir memories of a beloved location and add a bright pop of color to your walls. She welcomes custom requests.
Soon Abigail will be announcing fall workshops. Keep an eye on her Massachusetts events list and sign up for the Yeiou newsletter that includes updates and occasionally fun printables and freebies.
For the upcoming holidays (I know... I can't believe I said that either!) she is designing projects including a new version of this sweet gingerbread kit.
Abigail's website is Yeiou, as is her Etsy shop (curious about the name?). She is on Instagram as @yeioupaperobjects and Facebook as yeiou.paper.

DeleteWhat visual treats you have on your website. I just love most anything made out of paper, but especially houses - any variation on houses makes me happy. These architectural drawings are especially beautiful. Thank you for finding Abigail and sharing her creative talents with us.
