Anthropologie's Window Displays - Spring 2013
These pics are just a sampling of paper maché fruits and vegetables as seen in store displays around the country, along with containers made from recycled cans, tires, and bottles.
Some store locations hosted crafting sessions in which the participants had a hand in helping to create the produce.

All images are from the Anthropologie Facebook page with the exception of the paper cups, which were photographed by Allison Patrick.
One last thing for this week (and what a week it's been - sad for Boston, sad for West, Texas)... a video that features the recent exhibit opening of paper cutter Ruth Mergi, who you might remember from this post. It's truly the next best thing to being there.

Have a great weekend... I hope you can spend some time outside enjoying the earthy goodness.

Oh I adore the pears and the lettuce cups! So imaginative and beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOh yes! Love Anthropologie & LOVE papier mache! Together that equals AWESOMENESS!!!! Thanks for sharing, Ann.
ReplyDeleteI would love to know how she keeps her free form pieces standing on their own and what weight of paper she uses. Also, how many times does she create something, only to have it fall over, break, cut too deep etc. before she achieves the look she has in her mind?
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful work. I wish I could see it in person!!!
LOVE the flower!
