Colorfly Studio - Cut Paper Collage
Not long ago Stephanie of Reading with Scissors sent along a link to Jennifer DeDonato's website Colorfly Studio,
saying she recently had the pleasure of coming across her work at
an art show in Houston, Texas. Stephanie went home with one of Jen's
cut paper collages and thought I would enjoy an introduction. I did!
Jen's colorful art has a fresh, summertime look with the overriding theme that life is meant to be treasured and enjoyed. I wrote to ask about her work...
Your collages have a warm, positive vibe that I find appealing. Is this a conscious direction you take with your work?
Is there anything on the horizon you'd like to tell us about?
I have started to sell my artwork as greeting cards. I'm sending out samples and wholesale information to small card shops around the nation and have my fingers crossed it will be a successful venture.

I noticed as well that my work was very
positive about a year ago. My husband was the one who brought it to my
attention. It was funny because I did not even notice it until others started
pointing it out. It’s fun and I
really enjoy spreading the positive vibe. Life is short and I don’t have
time to be around negative attitudes so I keep my distance from all that.
